The Custard Apple tree or Annonaceae is a medicinal plant also known as Sweet Sop tree. Its fruits (seetaphal or sitaphal) have a buttery texture and nice flavour. The ripe fruit is believed to have astringent, cooling, febrifugal and pectoral properties and is often prescribed in case of and is prescribed for vomiting, diarrhoea, and dysentery.
